How to Vote in an Election
During the 2015 general election I followed the candidates for the Weston-super-Mare constituency on the campaign trail. I began by photographing each of them in a place of their choosing and allowed them to present themselves as the saw fit. As the project progressed I became more interested in the theatrical and gestural posturing of those involved in the process of democracy.
The results were:
John Penrose (Con) - 25,203 votes
Tim Taylor (Lab) - 9594 votes
Ernie Warrender (UKIP) - 9366
John Munro (Lib Dem) - 5486 votes
Dr Richard Lawson (Green) - 2592 votes
